Training

The project involves preparing a 40-hour training program for teachers, along with teaching materials covering many interesting issues, including:

Based on the programmes, certified training courses are organised for teachers from schools participating in the Project. Then, teachers organise regular or additional classes for students covering the subject of European Union values and its promotion among the school community.
EVENTS

Study visit to Brussels
One of the important events of the Project is a study visit to European institutions in Brussels. Teachers take part in the training and events of the Project during the visit. It is expected that 20 teachers will take part, selected and delegated by the schools.
In addition to visiting European institutions, teachers will have the opportunity to take part in training and lectures covering the topics of the European Union, in particular its social and economic achievements, as well as its achievements in promoting the system of values that constitute the foundation of its functioning.
European Days in Schools
During the project implementation period, European Union Days are organised at least three times in schools participating in the Project. As a rule, these events will take place in May to celebrate the holiday of peace and unity in Europe and to refer to the anniversary of the historic Schuman Declaration.
These days have different forms and courses – from purely educational elements (lectures, presentations) to entertainment and festivals referring to the culture and values of the European Union. They are attended not only by teachers and students, but also by representatives of local institutions and organisations.
Hackathon
A hackathon is an event that combines elements of competition, creativity and innovation. The term comes from a combination of two words: “hack” and “marathon”. “Hack” in this context does not mean illegal intrusion into computer systems, but rather finding creative solutions to specific challenges. “Marathon” refers to long-term effort and commitment. During these events, students and teachers work in teams on a specific task or project.
The goal is to develop a new common approach to solving a specific problem or to develop solutions that meet specific requirements. An educational hackathon is an event organized to promote learning and skill development among participants, to gather experiences, including cooperation and defending one’s own ideas. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn and develop new solutions to current problems of the European Union.
